Ruth Stricklin

Ruth Stricklin obituary -Ruth Stricklin, 96, of Bayfield, Colo., died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, in Amarillo, Texas. She was born in Douglas, Arizona, on May 11, 1917.

Ruth lived in Farmington with her husband, Jack Stricklin, and her children between 1952 and 1956. Her love for the area kept her in the Four Corners area making her home of 41 years in Bayfield, Colorado. Ruth moved to Amarillo, Texas, in 2006 for health reasons where she passed away on Jan. 11, 2014.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Stricklin, and her daughter, Bonnie Baxter.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ellen Loggins, of Amarillo, Texas; a son, Jack Stricklin of El Paso, Texas; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18, at the LDS Chapel, 1690 Hwy 160 B, in Bayfield, Colo

  1. Sending sympathy to Mary Ellen and family. Bonnie and I were friends and classmates and Mrs. Stricklin was always so nice to us when her home was invaded by silly, giggling Jr. High girls!
