Cheryl Janine (Kronig) Nordstrum, 53, of Farmington, left this life on June 1, 2016, leaving behind all those who loved her only to be greeted by her loved ones in heaven. She was born on September 1, 1962 to Allen and Sandra Kronig in Farmington. Cheryl attended school in Kirtland and Farmington. She married Jeff Nordstrum in 1986. She loved her family and her joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Cheryl enjoyed camping at Vallecito Lake and swimming at her cousin’s pool with all the grandkids all summer long. She loved the Denver Broncos, Nascar races and Golden State Warriors. Cheryl enjoyed her time at CBS class and the fellowship and support of her friends.

Cheryl lost her battle to cancer on June 1st at home surrounded by her family. She will be remembered by all who knew her for her courageous spirit and positive attitude. Her quiet spirit and caring nature were always present, but shined brightest during the hard times.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her father Allen Kronig; grandparents Doc and Gwen Bolding; and special cousin Kim McDaniels.

She leaves behind her husband Jeff Nordstrum; daughters Krista (Thomas) Robbins, Jenny Locksley (Bryan Gordon) and Jessica (Gerrad) Rogers; brother Ron Kronig; bonus sister Val Karl; mother Sandra (Bob) Burnett; aunts Barbara Kronig, Pam Miller, Renee Parsons, and Sandra Topper; uncles Jim Pruitt, Mark Bolding, and Carl Parsons; grandchildren Olivia, Alaina, Shaylee, Luna, Gage, Champ, Gavin, Delaney, Lashay, Leandra, and Tierra; and two great grandchildren.

Celebration of Life will be at 10:30 am on Monday, June 6, 2016, at Pinon Hills Community Church Student Center, 5101 N Dustin Ave., in Farmington, with Pastor Keith Corley officiating.

Special thanks to our wonderful cancer center for their loving care. Dr. Kazmi, the nurses, and angel volunteers provided comfort during our journey. Their kindness will never be forgotten.
